MINDFULNESS AT WORK

All informative things that Thuong Hieu Vu shares in this column are proved by being endorsed, implemented and found to be effective and useful for the business community, especially our Branding Marketing community. That's the reason why Thuong Hieu Vu shares, not simply means of  gathering knowledge from other places only.

Once we are playing a role as participants in the economy industry, as entrepreneurs - one thing we cannot deny is that we never stop planning in our heads . We have a daily plan, a weekly plan, a yearly plan, a quarterly plan, a 5-year plan, a 10-year plan, then a plan for this person, a plan for that person, a plan to launch a new product, or plans to maintain position in the market….

Continuous thinking has been a habit of economists over the years - or we can temporarily call it a catch-all mindset. This, sometimes, makes us a person who lives to work, not really work to live. We often represent work lead to the meaning of working could help that I can live better, to have better economic conditions, or to have more time, more people to work for, and to improve my quality of life. Our life and the lives of those around us become higher but usually we don't do what we think because of the continuous mindset.

Based on my own observations through many years as well as my own colleagues and partners, Thuong Hieu Vu wants to bring to today's topic: EVERYTHING IS MIRACLE

Albert Einstein said :” There are two ways to live. One is to pretend that nothing is a miracle. Second, treat everything as a miracle.”

Should we choose the second way to live so that everything makes sense? But that is not easy at all, especially in the period of the epidemic, we - economic activists just wait for the day when we no longer have to sit on this fire. maybe we can get out of this inhibited status and continue to do the old plans or new plans that come to mind. Because we are used to it, to do it to survive.

But did we remember? Before the epidemic , we also sat on the fire, not when were comfortable or enjoying life. So whether the epidemic comes or not, we are always sitting on the fire. And one thing Thuong Hieu Vu can ensure of even the epidemic is completely controlled, most of us still rush out to revive the market and that means sitting on the fire again.

So what lesson do we learn after this epidemic and how can we live like the second way of living as Albert Einstein said?

Everything is a miracle, an unfortunate thing is also a miracle of life, and the good thing is also a miracle of life. Gratitude to the things around us is magical. It's easy to say but not easy to do, we do have methods that is the core of what we aim to talk about today.

As Thuong Hieu Vu’s point of view, we are applying and sharing with teammates to apply in daily work and personal life.

That is mindfulness at work

Perhaps when hearing the word mindfulness, many people will immediately think of Buddhism. It’s truth to say that this phrase is heard a lot in Dharma talks. However, this concept has now been widely popularized and included in the programs of business schools such as PACE, which is famous for its course: Mindful Leadership.

This concept is easily apply to life. Every day, when we live and work, we should feel it with our heart, soul and mind as much as we rely on our breath. That is, when life has lows, joys and sorrows, wins and losses, gains and losses…we should not let our emotions flow out uncontrollably, blocking our ability to enjoy and feel both the good and the bad of life. Let's apply the principle of 3 breaths.

When our mental is shaken, we begin to sit on the fire…when it comes quickly, we should return to the breath, 3 breaths in 10 seconds.

After practicing, we know what we should do, what is happening, what is most important at that moment.

And assure, the more you practice these methods, the more likely you are avoid making wrong decisions or be overwhelmed by negative emotions at work and in life. .

You will immediately feel clearer, more fulfilled, and more courageous in the face of difficulties. Besides, it also makes us reduce the sorrow and negative emotions that last long. And from there, when we possess good spiritual mind, the business is also good which lead to better relationships around us.
